Biography
Amr Jamal, MD, SBFM, ABFM, MRCGP, MBI is a practicing consultant family physician and assistant professor of clinical informatics and family medicine at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He holds three boards in family practice and a master of biomedical informatics from Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. Amr is a core faculty member at the King Saud University, teaching clinical informatics, family medicine, research methodology and medical ethics courses at the colleges of medicine and dentistry. Amr is the program director of the master of Health Informatics in King Saud University since 2012. He was nominated by KSU medical students as “The Professor of the Year†in 2012 and 2014. He contributed in publishing 2 books, 3 book-chapters, 11 original articles, 4 abstracts in the field of clinical informatics, clinical decision support systems, women & child health, professionalism and medical education.
Research Interest
interested in how clinicians make decisions with the assistance of technology, and how these decisions can influence healthcare quality.
